macguys Posted March 10, 2003 Posted March 10, 2003 (FileMaker Server 5.5 running on a dedicated Xserve under 10.2.) My server has started doing a strange thing. Every now and then, maybe every other day or so, it contacts the users and says that it is requesting them to close the file(s) they are currently using. It is a similar message to what you get when you attempt to shut down a file while it is being shared. The thing is that the server is not being restarted, and no tracks are left in the logs. Once you log out, you can log right back on. Does anyone have a clue?
Kurt Knippel Posted March 10, 2003 Posted March 10, 2003 You have the setting (in Access Privledges of the individual DBs) to automatically log out inactive users. The preferences on the Server specifies what the time limit is. The easiest solution is to increase the time allowed to like 10 hours or something.
