Importing records from text file to FMP. All is well -EXCEPT - imported date is in different format than existing FM dates.

Consequently, sorting records now gives two sets of properly ordered (within each set) results.

My guess is that the date on the layout you are looking at is displayed as "leave format as entered", if you go to layout mode and change the format explicitly to the one you want, the double formating will disappear.

Actually, I did change the date field format in the layout as you suggested.

> I also saved a copy and did a recover on the file, no luck.

> Exported the date field contents from FMPro and brought it into a NEW file with the date field pre-formatted
