Newbies reelzippy Posted March 13, 2003 Newbies Posted March 13, 2003 I am having a problem with a portal and page breaks. I have a portal that has over 100 records and I need to print landscape. Is there any way to cleanly create a page break within a portal? Almost all the time a row will get separated between pages.
Lee Smith Posted March 13, 2003 Posted March 13, 2003 Hi reelzippy, Portals are not meant to be printed. As you can see, they present some real problems in trying to do so. You should set up the report to be printed in file containing the information. HTH Lee
stanley Posted March 18, 2003 Posted March 18, 2003 Lee is correct. However, if you're working with a really complicated portal layout (I've got one with six portals to print a catalog) you might invest the time in just tweaking the thing until it comes out right. Keep your eye on the page break mark & keep adjusting the portal until you have a match. Be aware that footers and headers can throw your pages off progressively, and adjust them, too. It can get very time-consuming and frustrating, but still, it can be done. -Stanley
