I apologise in advance for being long winded, but I need to be able to articulate this problem to my IT administrator. Also, we're running FMP6, not FMS, but this seemed like the sensible forum to make my post.

I have read plenty of posts on the Forum which advise that the files should be opened on the host computer and that users connect as guests using the open

Never ever have copies of FM life files anywhere.

Pack, sit or zip them.

Turn sharing off on the "server" machine.
