is there a way to save a file from fm 6 to fm 3.0?

Hello,

I was wondering if someone call me if i can save a file create in FM 6 to FM 3.0 i try to do save as a copy and put the ext .f3 but when i try to open it in fm 3 it wouldnt let me open it.

Hi SolarPunk,

The two formats are completely different (according to FM), and therefore it is not backwards compatible. There was a utility at www.fmfile I think a long time ago that would do this, but it was highly recommended by the developer to not rely on it.

The safest way is to export the information as text, and then import that into your new database.
