Jalz Posted April 3, 2003 Posted April 3, 2003 Hi Guys, Not sure whether anyone has achieved this, but is there a way of programming a script that would export data from a FileMaker table into an Excel spreasheet and then run a Macro (again using a filemaker script). Thanking you all once again.
danjacoby Posted April 3, 2003 Posted April 3, 2003 Can't export directly to Excel, but you can export to tab-separated text. Can't run an Excel macro from within FMP, but if you have a Mac you could use AppleScript. Of course, you won't be exporting formulas, just values. On the other hand, using FMPv6 & Excel X on MacOS10.2.1, I just opened a Filemaker DB directly in Excel. Formulas were lost again; just the values got "imported". No scripts necessary.
