Newbies AntiHero Posted April 3, 2003 Newbies Share Posted April 3, 2003 I'm new to this so please bear with me, I have used the search and did not find and answer. In the photo catalog template, when I enter lot's of keywords the info gets hidden behind the field. Looking at the photo catalog database (not keyword database) I have looked into making it a scrollable field etc.(no can do). Is there any way I can make it so that all the keywords can be viewable (over 1000 keywords). Or I thought about making a duplicate of the layout and for each image the keywords are selected and when finished have a button script to take you to the original layout with only the selected keywords visible (max 10 keywords to each image). or is this a long winded way to go about this. Cheers
cjaeger
i did not check, but the keywords are probably displayed in a portal. Just change the portal properties to include a scrollbar and change the number of rows displayed.
Albert Harum-Alvarez
Hello Antihero, The Photo Catalog template has a sizing layout that determines how many rows are viewable. You may want to go into ScriptMaker and revise the sizing script so that it simply Zooms the window out to full size. Hope this makes sense.... Newbies AntiHero Posted April 4, 2003 Author Newbies Share Posted April 4, 2003 Thanks, but I don't think I explained my query well enough. The Field in question has checkboxes and it seems that I cannot alter the field (e.g. make it scrollable) so that the checkboxes are still available. I wanted to make it so that the keywords database held 1000's of keywords and only the keywords relating to the particular image are displayed on the photo catalog database. thanks
Newbies AntiHero Posted April 4, 2003 Author Newbies Share Posted April 4, 2003 Ok me again, I've been playing around and have dismissed the idea of having checkboxes and opted for the aesthetically pleasing pop-up list, and now have 10 of these where the original keywords checkbox field was. To my new pop-ups I have assigned the correct value list and relationship (I'm sure but could be very wrong), but once again I'm stuck. Now when I select the keyword from the new pop-up fields Keywords 2,3,4 etc pop up field, the keyword.fp5 database does not update to show these newly assigned keywords. I'm thinking there should be a script or my brain on the floor. I know this must be sooo basic for 99% of users to this forum, but I have lent my 2 FM books out to a friend, and this is bugging me. thanks for any interest in this. Lee Smith
Sometimes we all have a Freudian slip! Or is it? Mutilation 1. to deprive (a person or animal) of a limb or other essential part 2. to injure, disfigure, or make imperfect by removing or irreparably damaging parts. Me thinks you meant Manipulate - 3. to adapt or change (accounts, figures, etc.) to suit one's purpose or advantage. Lee
