I permanently added a server site to my host list. Of course, I misspelled the server name the first time but it always shows up on the host list. Is there a simple way to remove server names from the host list?

Thanks

You know, I cannot find that file on my computer. In fact I don't even have the path you have specified on my computer. The actual server software lives on a different machine and I operate it remotely. Is the file on that machine?

Win 2000. I cannot find the file FMhosts.txt anywhere on my machine. I used the search feature on My Computer and looked for F*.TXT but that file did not show up. This is version 5.0v3.

If a folder or file is marked as hidden Windows will not find it in a search. Navigate through the the exact folder path Anatoli described above to find the file.

Anatoli and Will,

I finally found it but what a PIA this was. I could never find the Application Data folder when drilling down fro. My Computer. The reason is that the entire Application DataFileMakerFileMaker Pro5.0 path was hidden. No wonder I couldn't find the stupid file. I guess there must be an option in the setup to hide the Hosts file path. In any case I have now changed the host list to what I want it to be. Many thanks for the help.
