Working with Oracle 'bases

Featured Replies

Hi there all:

I'm new to this forum and I'm hoping I can get an answer to my dilemma.

I'm looking at using FM Unlimited to create an Intranet Portal for a section

of our organization. (A Daily Newspaper in Toronto)

There are several Oracle bases created over the years for different applications and I would want to at least be able to erad from these......writing to them would be fantastic. The trick is however, I don't want to convert them to FM bases as they need to stay as they are for the existing apps to use.

Ideas?

Cheers

As far as I'm told yes.

....will FM read/write from/to it without having to convert?

Thanks

Cheers and Beers

As long as you can define an ODBC connection and are familiar enough with SQL to get what you want, then you can do so from Filemaker.
