Ok this is weird I don't have an option to import from a ODBC DSN in my Import utility.Its not there in the export also. I have a File Maker ODBC Driver installed on the m/c,why can't I import from a DataSoource Name?

Not sure what is the problem, but you need FileMaker up with the file you are trying to connect.

Ok this is what I have to do,I have some tables in MS Access and I want to import them at a particulair time to a File Maker File.Now I have created the ODBC DSN for the MS Access file.When I go to File->Import in FileMaker

I don't have a drop down option for ODBC data types in the drop down.

How do I go about doing this.

File Maker is installed using Typical Options,I have created the Data Source Name in ODBC panel,there is File Maker Pro driver also in the ODBC control panel.Why is it that the option of Import ODBC data type not in the drop down of the Import function??

First reinstall FM with Typical installation NOT custom!

Solved probelm..beacuse of a corrupted data access companion,reinstall fixed it.
