I am making another order manger and some orders have more than one item. How can i make the fields appear only when they contain info?

Silly question: How can you find the fields in order to enter info if they're not there until you've entered the info?

Actually, it's not so silly; once you've answered that, the answer to your question will become obvious (at least to someone).

Got a feeling you're going to end up with a related file and a portal.

you can have fields and not have them appear on the layout.

I will have the fields in the database but i dont want them to show up on the layout if they do not contain info.

jsaltzman, if you are talking about a report layout, I am curious about the same thing. Is it possible to make it appear on the report layout only if it has data--the reason (for me) is exclusively for printing purposes.

However, if you are talking about layout (non-report related), I would have to agree with danjacoby. If the fields are not on the layout, how would the information get into the database.
