Couldn't draw picture file error

Using 5.5 on Win98. The following problem has just started malfunctioning...its been working for well over 2 years without problems:

I use the Troi file plugin ReferenceToClip feature to get a path from a BMP or JPEG file which I insert into a container field (in two completely separate situations: 1 into a global container & another into a record's container: neither works anymore). The plugin appears to be functioning since it loads the reference onto the clipboard (I'm also getting the proper return code). I know this 'cause I can paste the image onto a blank layout. However, I can't paste it into a field using CTRL V, nor will it be inserted under script control using the Paste function. I always get an error:

'Couldn't draw picture file:'

I'm completely clueless. Any thoughts?

Fixed my own problem by re-installing FM...very bizarre.
