Filemaker Server used to like to be on it's own...

We run FMP Server 5.02 on an OS 9.2.2 machine and found that it did NOT like being on the same server that was serving the AppleShare IP. Now I've moved my Appleshare server to OSX Server.

Is it recommended to be OK to install FMP Server (I guess version 5.5 is required?) and that they now like each other?

P.S. My goal is to eliminate one on the servers I have to adminsitrate.

No, servers of different types (especially File and Database servers) never run well together. I would NEVER put a database server on the file server, or share any of the folders of a database server. No matter who wrote the software.
