How can I show related records in a report? I have a main database with a portal of related records and I want to display a report of main database record fields in a group and related recordes in a body. I want the body to expand as necessary to show the contents of related records for each main record group. Ideas?

do a subsummary by record id (with the main file records) and set the portal field to slide up.

However, why not have the report in the related file? it's a hell of a lot easier.

If you're printing the report, it's much safer to print from the related file; printing portals is often a pain in the ... uh, well, it's a pain.

I agree that showing the related records in the report is easy in the related file, I need to query the report based on records in the main database. So I'll give your suggestion a try and see what happens.
