exporting to a ASCII data base

I'm a firefighter who needs hlp with a problem. We need to be able to export my filemaker data in ASCII format. Is there any way to do this, or is there a conversion program that will do this for me. Thank you for any information you may have.

What do you mean by ASCII format?

Basically any text export is an ASCII file, but there are many different way to structure the data and you need to know what that is. Such thing as Tab or Comma delimited, Merge format, etc.
