Jeff Spall Posted May 14, 2003 Posted May 14, 2003 Hi, i have to produce some lists from a database ranked on number fields - like the number of branches a retailer has. if I put in '@@' on the layout, it will give them a ranking number, but I need to have them ranked equal if two or more have the same number of branches, like 19 20 21 21= 22 etc Is there a way i can do this? regards, jeff
cjaeger Posted May 14, 2003 Posted May 14, 2003 @@ will only give you the record number in the current found set and sort order. see attached file for a script rank.zip
Jeff Spall Posted May 15, 2003 Author Posted May 15, 2003 Hi, thanks for that file, It's a really neat piece of work and does just what I want if it might be of help to someone else, I played around and added another field that puts in an "=" sign for the equal rankings, like: 1 2 2= 3 4 4= 4= etc. here's the amended test database, but aplogies for my crummy scripting! thanks again, Jeff rank2.zip
