How would I define a number field that will automatically go from 1 --> 200 without having to type every number in? I want to assign the numbers for the students in the school. Number 1 would be in the beginning of the alphabet. Thanks in advance.

Sort the files the way you want them.

In a field that you want the serries of numbers, put your cursor in the first record.

Go to Menu >> Records >> Replace (Cmd = on a Mac) Click on the Replace with Serial Numbers, and then Okay.

If you are using version 6.x you can use the Find & Replace too.
