nightdesigns Posted May 19, 2003 Posted May 19, 2003 I have two fields, front and back. I don't have the ability to do duplex printing, so i already know that i'll have to print all the fronts, and then print all the backs, no biggie. Also know that i'll have to swap the left and right sides to make them match. But how do i create this in a layout? Should i use the label cretor, or somethign else? Thanks
LiveOak Posted May 19, 2003 Posted May 19, 2003 How about printing the front and back on the same sheet and folding it? You might need to invert the back. It would eliminate the need to colate the front's and back's. The layout can be created in FM. -bd
cjaeger Posted May 19, 2003 Posted May 19, 2003 use 2 different layouts. print the first one with all records, trun the paper and insert into paper tray, then print the second layout. depending on your printer, you may want to sort the records in reverse order ... I would do this in chunks of 10 records, so that if you get a printer/paper/orientation error, you only scrap 10 pages at the most....
BobWeaver Posted May 23, 2003 Posted May 23, 2003 Not sure which printer or platform you are using, but if you are using a postscript printer, the Adobe PS driver has a duplex option for non-duplex printers. I use it whenever I need to do something like this. It is a free download from www.adobe.com and it avoids the hassle out of designing special layouts.
