Import FDF (PDF form data) in 9.0?

Friends,

Is it possible to import PDF form data -- FDF -- into FMP v5.0 under OS 9? I have read that this is doable in OS X & FMP 5.5.

Thanks again & again....

I am suprised that no one has addressed my original question. Can Acrobat .fdf data be imported into FMP?

Any response is helpful. Thanks.

The silence is deafening, isn't it? Usually it means we're all stumped. The best I can do is refer you to this article on Adobe's site.

It seems to me that it will be somehow possible to get the form data into FileMaker, since Acrobat forms data can be exported. Apparently it is not a standard tab-delimited format, but if you open up an exported file in a word-processor, you'll probably be able to figure out how to massage it in FileMaker. If not, post a snippet here and we'll take it from there.

I just helped a guy "convert" a PDF time sheet system into a FMP database, completely doing away with Arobat. Instead of opening the pdf, entering then e-mailing it to the admin person, they open the FMP database and directly enter their data.

Faster and much more efficient.

I will spend some more time on this import .fdf today, then I'll let you know mythoughts/frustrations.

Fitch, it seems we are in the same town - PDX.
