Newbies ent1701e Posted February 28, 2002 Newbies Share Posted February 28, 2002 Hi, I have some data in a FMP database that I want to transfer to an Oracle database. How would I go about doing it? I am using FMP 5.0, I heard that 5.5 has ODBC connections but I think 5.0 has it too... How would I set up this connection so that I can move the data? Thanks... bbaliner Posted March 6, 2002 Share Posted March 6, 2002 It's 'should be' easy to set up ODBC. Simply enable Remote or Local Data Access Companion in Preferences. File Maker even has "File Maker Oracle 8 Driver" which could be applicable to your situation. Remember, though, that FM supports only Level1 OBDC, which I think means most basic SQL statements.
