Perform a find in the Main file to get just those records you want to copy over. Then go to the Smaller file and do an import. Only those records from the current found set in the Main file will be imported.

That was a lot simpler than I thought, thanks for the quick response

I have two FM databases with identical fields and layouts. One is a subset of the other, with fewer entries. I am trying to copy a couple of entire records from the main file to the smaller one and can't get this figured out. I really don't know a lot about this program, so if there are scripts and relations and the like involved, detailed explanations would be appreciated. Thanks.
