I am adding a fax option for a filemaker database I developed last year. The solution is on windows xp pro. I can use winfax with a combination of a change-printer plugin to automate the switching between printer/fax devices however winfax prompts you to enter a fax number. Is there any plugin or a way to not prompt the user for the fax number since I will have it stored in filemaker to begin with and send it automatically?

Well, if your're only concerned with Windows, you might want to investigate WinBatch. The fax plugins can do it more completely (more straightfoward), but they're kind of expensive if you plan on redistributing. Search the Fax Forum for a list.
