May 30, 200322 yr Okay. I've got a Windows PC in a networked environment (FM Server, 15 clients, been running for 18 months) and when a certain script runs, it prints two different things on two different printers, then sends a fax (through WinFax, another printer in Windows' eyes). The problem is, I was using ProPrint, which worked fine, but we had to replace one of the printers with a new one (new driver, too) and now ProPrint has stopped working. I thought, to hell with ProPrint, I'll just use the Print Setup step in ScriptMaker and deal with it by hand, but Print Setup just doesn't stick. The formatting keeps changing (the paper type, I mean) etc. This is a Win98 machine running FMP 5.5, and I'm ready to pull my hair out. Anybody have any suggestions? - Stanley
May 30, 200322 yr If you are addressing different printers in a scripted run you need to run subscripts wherever you change printers because you can only hold one set of printer setup parameters per script. You may need to even consider multi platform environments, like me. The same thing applies to the other script "parameters" (Find, Sort Export etc.)
