Changing the visibility of value lists

Featured Replies

I have a cabinet shop.

I am building a questionaire for my customers.

The questions that I ask these people all have "allowable" answers, which we select from a drop down value list.

The next question is always a function of the answer to the previous question. For example: We ask if you want painted cabinets or stained natural wood. If you select paint we don't ask any questions that might be attendant to wood grain expectations. Similarly if you select stain grade we don't ask you if you will be brush painting the final coat.

Right now each value list drops down for selections. At all times the previous and next question is visible on the questionaire form. What I would like is to have an empty screen with just one question at a time for the customer to focus on.

I would also like to have one layout that still included all the questions and all the answers for reiterating and recapping at the end of the meeting.

Can anybody tell me how to toggle this visibility on or off?

Thank you.

depending on the structure of your database, either make a new layout for each question (if you put answers to each question in a separate field, 1 record per customer) + a button to go to next layout, or

if you have a database with generic layout which gets the questions (+ right answers + value list for each question) from a related file, storing each customer's answer in a third file. Then you just have to change the view from list view to form view.
