We can not determine how to shut off user access to the ability get to the field definition level of the databases on the server. We are not able to shut off remote access from the user's computers. We are using FileMaker Sever 5.5 and FileMaker Pro 6 . Please help.

Do you mean you cannot physically do this or you do you mean you cannot do this because of your requirements?

If a user's password definition does not have the box checked for Access the Entire File then they cannot define fields.

I believe eugene13 is asking for kick-out procedure.

If that is so, install administrative plugin to client, from Server CD and you will have the ability to remote manage everything.
