file can't be opened as read only? recovery?

half of my hosted files were corrupted and now I get a dialog stating that the files can't be opened as read only .... unlock and open and close before using again.

how do I unlock etc.

What corrupted the files? What is the platform?

Could you recover them? Where the files transferred on CD?

Unlock proberly means you need to change the file permissions to be read/write. In Windows, right click and go to properties and you can un-check read-only.

How did you know your files were corrupted? Did FM say they were damaged before giving you the permissions error? Or are you saying they are corrupted because of the permissions error?
