Newbies Zoom_Zoom Posted June 11, 2003 Newbies Posted June 11, 2003 I'm running FMP Server 5 on a Win2K server. Client is FMP 5.5 on Win2K professional machine. The following error occurs for my machine on the network only. Everyone else can open and use the database and related databases just fine "Sorry, FileMaker is unable to read the disk the file is on. Click continue to try again or click exit and copy this file to another disk." It appears it is the related file and a specific layout that I'm having issues with...again on my machine only. I can open the file, however when I switch to a layout that calls the other two related files, I get the error message. If the files are corrupt, why doesn't everyone get the same error message? Any suggestions
Anatoli Posted June 11, 2003 Posted June 11, 2003 Maybe your disk is corrupt, or you are opening your local files, or your network segment gets fishy...
Newbies Zoom_Zoom Posted June 12, 2003 Author Newbies Posted June 12, 2003 I actually had to move the folder being hosted by FM Server. Create a new folder. Do a SAVE AS for each of the files. Move the new folder back. Now everything works. I'm wondering if the file is corrupt...why could everyone else work just find except me. Oh well...problem fixed in a very bizaare way!
