veganboyjosh Posted June 13, 2003 Posted June 13, 2003 i know there's a way (and how to do it) to count the total number of rows in a portal. is there a way to actually number the rows, like place the number of the row to the left (or right) of the actual portal? thanks in advance... josh
Lee Smith Posted June 13, 2003 Posted June 13, 2003 Hi Josh, Yes, just click in the portal while in Layout Mode, and insert @@ or go to the menu click in your in portal and go to the Menu - Insert - Record Number Symbol HTH Lee
veganboyjosh Posted June 13, 2003 Author Posted June 13, 2003 awesome. i figured that'd be hardcoded somehow. is there a list of stuff like this somewhere? the other thing i'm thinking of is ctrl-drag. ie, in layout mode, if you wanna duplicate an item, the same size and shape and formats, if you click control-drag, then it dragsa dupe out of the original. i need more tricks like this. thanks, lee. josh
Lee Smith Posted June 13, 2003 Posted June 13, 2003 Hi Josh, Cmd + Ops will do this on a Mac, probably Control + Alt on Win. Also, on a Mac, you have to Start to drag it a little before you apply some of it, play with it a little and you'll soon get the hang of it. And if you add the Shift Key to the process, it will keep in in line up and down or left and right of the original field depending on what direction you are dragging. HTH Lee
