Anh_Tran Posted June 13, 2003 Posted June 13, 2003 Hi All, I would like to know why suddently in the define field, the box of prohibited modication value is grayed out. I would like to change it but can not click it. Do you people know how to make it as modification value? Thanks Anh Tran
Anh_Tran Posted June 13, 2003 Author Posted June 13, 2003 Because when I execute a script ...I got a message like this :" This field is not modifiable". Someboy knows why it causes that message? Thanks Anh Tran
LaRetta Posted June 13, 2003 Posted June 13, 2003 Hi Anh, You must select an option in auto-entry before the 'prohibit modification' option will appear. But regardless, a script command (using Set Field for instance) can override the prohibit modifcation option so I don't think that would help you in this instance. Your script isn't trying to set a calculation by any chance? If you can tell us what field you are trying to change (including data type and any field definition options you have selected), and list out your script, we can tell you what went askew!! LaRetta
Anh_Tran Posted June 13, 2003 Author Posted June 13, 2003 Yeah I use a setfield in the script Thanks Anh Tran
LaRetta Posted June 13, 2003 Posted June 13, 2003 Hi Anh, Well, you haven't answered the remaining questions - what field are you trying to set? Come on Anh - give us something to work with here! LaRetta
Anh_Tran Posted June 13, 2003 Author Posted June 13, 2003 Oh sorry Miss Laretta ... because i am so busy ...Oh your are right ...I use setfield over a calculation field. That is why it cause the problem. Thanks Laretta Anh Tran
