I have a client who utilizes Filemaker 5.5 Pro. Attempts to run this app on his newest system (P4 2.0, 512DDR, 80Gb, XP Pro) have failed. App runs fine on old P-200, and loads fine on the new, but will not run (a trial version of Filemaker 6 seems to work, though).

Anyone have any thoughts.

I believe FM 5.5 is not certified for XP. It can be any issue inclusive of bad sound or graphic card.

What BIOS? What board, what sound and graphic cards?

FWIW -- I didn't experience any problems with FM on XP, but some of the XP aspects are far from finished.

I initially experienced some difficulty running FM on XP, but after setting the compatibility feature it runs most of the time. To access the compatibility settings, right click on the program file & select Properties. We are actually running FM 4 (still in the dark ages here).
