Hi,

I've been using FM on Macs for years and found it so trouble-free that I never made my way to this great site! Now I've had to load one of our copies of FM 4 onto a new COMPAQ N1000/Win 2k laptop and run into an odd problem. When I'm entering text into a text field and hit the 'return/enter' key (i.e. the ordinary CR key) to generate a new paragraph, FM jumps out of the text field, as though I'd hit the 'enter' key on a numerical key pad.

When I attach an external keyboard, FM performs just as it should. As a work around I'm now using the on-screen keyboard, which behaves 'properly' to enter CRs. But there must be a better way!

I called COMPAQ and they've immediately identified it as a 'software problem'. Sounds unlikely to me--but I'd be grateful for any help.
