Grab The Data...

Featured Replies

I have a database with toner cartridge information "Copier" It contains fields with Printer Makes, Stock Codes, OEM Numbers etc....All I want to do is take the data from the "Copiers" database and display them in the "Main Menu" database..

I have a "Primary Key" in each database "Primary_ID", I created the realtionship with the "Main Menu" database and matched the "Primary_ID" from "Main Menu" to the "Copiers" database. But for the life of me I can't seem to display the information from "Copiers" to "Main Menu".

Any help would be much appreciated, I know this has probably been covered. Any point to a thread or basic explanation to revise my sheer faulknerian idiot manchild filemaker skills would be helpful.....

simply drag the fields child::field1 etc onto your current layout, or better, draw a portal, then drag with the field tool ...

Allready did that. I am still unable to display the records from the "Copiers" database...Here is the .ZIP file with the database, let me know what I am doing wrong?

You don't have any Primary numbers in your related file.

Try putting a number from your Display file in one of the Primary ID fields in the Copier_Generic.fp5 file
