Futurama56 Posted June 22, 2003 Posted June 22, 2003 Ok, I was new to FM and when I was doing data entry, I simply dragged my images into the container field. Not the greatest idea I found out when my file is topping 280mb and loads painfully slow on the web. Is it possible with a script or plugin to export and reference all the images to a file?
cjaeger Posted June 23, 2003 Posted June 23, 2003 - not an esy way. Since path info is not saved in the file, the only way ist to re-import, or export to a new pathname as PICT, then reimport those as reference (applescript only).
ryanzon Posted June 23, 2003 Posted June 23, 2003 How about zipping up your files before putting it on the container field....at least you save up some space
Anatoli Posted June 23, 2003 Posted June 23, 2003 Zip will not compress more GIF or JPG pictures. Maybe up to 1-2%.
BobWeaver Posted June 26, 2003 Posted June 26, 2003 jpg's and gif's are already compressed very efficiently. Trying to compress a file that's already compressed generally won't make any significant difference. Sometimes it can actually make the file bigger.
