Jalz Posted July 7, 2003 Posted July 7, 2003 Hello Guys, Im producing a multiuser database, that's going to be used in a workgroup environment. I've produced an CSV export file, which gives me access to the records in FileMaker in another format. My dilemma is, I want to export the data in a particular folder, hence I will have to use a pathname. Can this be done natively in FileMaker or do I have to use a plugin? (which im desperately trying to avoid-as im working on a shoestring budget!) Thanks Jalz
kenneth2k1 Posted July 7, 2003 Posted July 7, 2003 Not sure I know what you are trying to accomplish, but exports can be scripted. Then the path can be specified. However, the path to a specific folder will be different for each computer on a network if you are trying to save the file to a network drive. Unfortunately, the plug-in DialogMagic is probably good for this problem. Or Troi File. Haven't messed with it much, but there is a free plug-in called the File Toolbox. It may have some pathname functions. Ken
