There is no way to prevent users from moving windows or changing thier size.

If you are running in a multi-user environment, the windows will always return to thier starting positions and sizes when the files are first opened.

To make sure that the files stay the correct size as you navigate through the solution, setup a "sizer" layout in each file. This layout should have a box the size of the window that you want. Just go to this layout and "Toggle Window (Zoom)", this will cause the window to become that size.

If you want to pay there is a plug-in that will control the size and position of the window on both Windows and Mac platforms. It is called Move Window by Adam Severin. It can be found at filemaker.com or fmplugins.com or other sites I am sure.

When I am in my grumpy mood, I gripe that this ability should be in the native FMPro App. Oh well !

Thanks to all those that replied. Sorry about the delay - I've been on holiday. I'll now look at the suggestions.

Philb,

If you want to take a radical solution, get the FM 5 developer. The "binder" that comes in it has a "kiosk" mode where there is no way to change the size of the windows. Ojo: you can
