Relationship between calculation field and portal

Featured Replies

I am trying to use a calculation field (currently no stored, but tried both ways) as one end of a relationship with a second database. The relationship is on a unique ID to populate the portal. The calculation field works fine and constantly changes as you click onm different records in a repeating field. The problem is that the relationship does not seem to work as the field in the portal does not change to follow the calculation field. Any ideas???

Hi,

First, check these 2 common mistakes.

Your fields aren't set to use the same relationship as the portal.

Your portal doesn't use the good relationship.

Also check that the data type of the calculation is the same as the key field in the related file (ie, not text one side and number the other).
