centering layouts in kiosk

When I create my solution in Kiosk mode some of my layouts are centered with black around them and some are docked in the upper left corner with white around them. How can I have them all centered w/black? I have tried status window maximize and zoom, unlocking layout in arrange.I am using win ME

Thank you

I'm not sure about Windows, but on the Mac Kiosk screens are left wherever the window was when the file was last closed in FileMaker Pro, so to "centre" the layout means centering the window before closing the file.

I've never seen a white surround in Kiosk mode. Perhaps you've got the 'window' maximised or stretched too wide. Try changing the background colour of the parts to black and then using white-filled rectangles behind the areas you want white.

Maximize will put the window to the upper left and "white-fill" the background. Zoom will center the window, but only toggle to zoom the first time the file is open, or it will re-size each time you access it.

I had similar black-border hassles which were solved with a little trial and error thusly-

The screen size I was using was 800 x 600. I created a transparent box that was 790 x 590 and used this as a locked background object on all of my layouts.

I presume the same will work with other screen resolutions. You may need to experiment with different box sizes.
