Hi,

I have an issue where a .mer (merge) file is read as a sylk file when I go to import it into excel. It does not happen with all my databases, only a couple of them. Has anyone encountered a similar problem or know how to fix this?

Thanks

Hi Jodibee,

Excel will default to the file format that was last used when you are opening files, it also defaults to "All Files" when you first start it up.

Not sure if that's what is happening here, but I have had it play with my mind, when I didn't notice this upon opening different file types.
