Esc key to exit a looping script??!!

Hi All,

I thought using the "Esc" key with Allow User Abort would

make it possible to halt a looping script that runs in a portal in browse mode.

After testing i know i was wrong!! Any ideas??

I tried trapping the error # 1 (user cancel..)

but that does not seem to work either.

what platform? on Windows, it's the escape key, but on the Mac, it's command-period

I'm working with FM 5.5v2 on windows 98

So far using "Esc" has produced no result (no good result that is smile.gif )

Have you held it down? Sometimes it doesn't stop instaneously, especially if it's updating calculations on the current layout.

YUP ! HOLD IT DOWN TILL IT STOPS.
