Newbies spm Posted August 12, 2000 Newbies Posted August 12, 2000 Are there other ways to initiate scripts other than buttons or opening or closing databases? My goal is to have a script run automatically at the same time of day - everyday without a user triggering a script with a button. The database file is open 24hrs, therefore I cannot use the preferences to runa script when a file is open or closed. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks, Steve
geod Posted August 12, 2000 Posted August 12, 2000 You will have to purchase a plug-in the do that. Review the available plug-ins at either filemaker.com or fmfiles.com. There are a couple of plug-ins available that will allow you to trigger or schedule scripts.
jfmcel Posted October 2, 2001 Posted October 2, 2001 On the mac platform you can use I Do script scheduler (included in current Mac OS) to trigger the script via an AppleScript.
