How can I reject a dialog "no record match..."

From a report script I get the dialog "No records match this request.", with Modify Find, Continue and Cancel message choice, when it is so. But I wonder if there is a way to reject/bypass this dialog so it exit the script instead?

I want to use a plugin that gives custom menu items and hidden locked status area. I don't know how this will work if the user choose "Modify Find" message choice.
