"open" script step

Featured Replies

Hi,

When I use the "open" (hidden) script step, it won't open the databases hidden:( So when the most window closes...the currently opened databases will be visible.

Does anyone know a solution to this? Is it a bug?

thnx allready:)

greetz,

Jeff

Open hidden only refers to 'hiding' the listing of the file on the hosts listing. If you 'open a file hidden' before you serve the file, it will not show up on the hosts.

Hi!

thnx for your reply!

Do you know another way to open the window and let it hide imediatley? Maybe a script in the preferences of the database when it opens that will hide the window?

thnx & greetz,

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

>>Maybe a script in the preferences of the database when it opens that will hide the window?

That's indeed the way to do it.

use the Toggle Window [Hide] script step.

I'm not aware of a "Toggle Window [Hide] script step". You can use a "Toggle Window [Minimize] script step".

fishma, it's a Mac thing.

My bad...Checked it out on my Mac.

Windows cannot be hidden on PCs like they can on MacOS: the most you can do it minimise them.

In his earlier comment I think fishma is referring to the Multiuser (hidden) command which is related to database sharing. Not the same thing at all.
