To change the original import order I run my script (which has restore, no dialog selected) and then watch what fields filemaker imported (File menu - import records).

Here's the problem, When I watch the import order after running my script it isn't the one it used for the script. Even though the import was perfect (and that never could have been with the import order filemaker shows me). What's going on? How can I view the used import order?

The best way I can think of is to print your import script. The import order will show on paper (this works for all memorized script steps, finds, sorts, page setups, etc.).

I have a lot of complex import/export scripts and I keep a set of all on paper in a file folder, so I can refer to one when it occurs to me that I might have forgotten to include a particular field in the order.

I would deselect the no dialog box and watch the import as it's being performed.
