I have an invoice system that is setup so our order entry people can not edit an invoice after the day it has shipped. I used the FM passwords, and setup the edit option to not allow editing if currentdate > or = dateshipped+1.

Most of the time this works great. However, sometimes it will not allow them to edit it even if the dateshipped is empty. To fix this, all they have to do is quit Filemaker (5.5v2) and re-launch FileMaker. One of the computers that is now doing this, only runs FileMaker. I have tried to reinstall FM and also did a clean install of the os (9.2.2, but is still happens with not seeable pattern.

Has anyone else seen this? The files are being served via FM Server.

Validate with not IsEmpty(dateshipped) and NOT currentdate = dateshipped. I'm not sure what the other issue is, but this is a more logical and usable validation for when not to edit.
