I have created a report that breaks down my training topics according to to topic numbers. I would like a a subsummary of each topic. The subsummary field is shown in the layout mode. I am really stumped as this worked in testing but now that I have over 1,000 records added I can not get the subsummary field to show a total. Now on the other hand, I do get a trailing summary at the end of the report. Any suggestions.

Subsummary parts will not show unless the file is sorted by the defined break field (i.e. Subsummary by X implies X is the break field). Sort your records each time before viewing the report, if they are not already sorted in the same order.

Yes I have sorted by topics and all training dates are listed for each topic but a total for each topic is not given.

And what is your summary field summarizing? Double-check in the field definitions.

I have found my problem. I did not have my part definition name properly. Thanks
