Creating a script

Featured Replies

I would like to create a script that would help in creating a data base of a work schedule. I have 4 shifts and I would like to be able to insert shift "A" into the field and have the names of shift "A" appear. That could be all in one field but preferablly all names in different fields so that we could indicate if the person actually was working or off on specail assignment or other detail.

please give more detail about what you want to see happen.

I work for an emergency service organization which operates 27/7. I would like to create a DB to keep track of work scheudule. I think I understand how to create one form using radio buttons with choices SHIFT - "A" "B" "C" "D" which would automatically create a list in another. BUT, is ther away to choose a shift and have each individuals name appear in it own field. This is due to being able to indicate if each person worked the shift or was off due to sick, vac., holiday and so on.

It's a little difficult to know exactly what you're doing but I think a portal is probably going to work for you.

A portal will automatically display a list of all records which meet criteria (according to the 'relationship' you specify) e.g.. everyone who worked a certain shift, or who was absent, etc.
