Complete access to files from a guest location?

Featured Replies

FP server OS9

I am only guessing this is where I should be posting my question.

I recently put all db on a server to host through out the company, which is located in another area in the building. When I launch the program, I am a guest. This will not allow me to change from multi-user to single user mode, or view any password settings, even though I have the master password?:?

Is this standard server settings?

Do I have to do all the changes from the location the files are being hosted from?, or is there another way?

There are a couple functions that require the file to be taken off the server and you've found one of them. [setting default values for globals is another.] Close the file off the server and open it in FM Pro. Make changes. Reopen in under FM Server.
