Is there a way to have a script run as soon as an app starts up?

For instance. I currently have a FM app that checks for a file in a folder. If there is a file there it imports the data and deletes the file.

This FM app has to be manually started. What I want to do is intergrate it into the primary app. So now if the main applicatioin (CHART.FM) is shut down (nightly for backup) when it is restarted it will automatically start checking for files in the folder.

Hi:

Yep.

Windows: Edit/Preferences/Document. Under "When opening file" select Perform Script and select your script.

MacOS 9: Same as above

Mac OSX: FileMaker Pro/Preferences/Document.
