Opening all records even after some have been omit

Featured Replies

I am running Filemaker Server 5.5 and hosting a number of DB's. I have 4 clients attaching to the server. My problem is after a user omits a record and then closes down his/her copy of Filemaker on the client side, then reopens Filemaker and logs into the DB all the records are showing including the ones that have been omited. Not sure why this is happening. Can any suggest something to fix this?

Thanks

That is normal.

The omit set is not written to FM server.

Don't close the FM on client.

Omitting a record is a temporary function, used to single out records (or groups of records) for various reasons. When omitting on a FileMaker Server setup, the omission only takes place on the individual client's machine, and only until the next Show All script step takes place (which, more likely than not, will be the next time a script is run.)

Perhaps you are confusing Omit with Delete?
