irvingm Posted September 22, 2003 Posted September 22, 2003 I have a stand alone runtime solution containing seven files. Attached to that is a master password with full access privileges. However, when I hold the alt key and open the file, then enter the master password, I only get limited privileges. ( I cannot, for example, define fields) What have I missed?
kenneth2k1 Posted September 22, 2003 Posted September 22, 2003 Hi: You cannot define fields in a runtime. You will have to open it with FileMaker. So open FileMaker and then open the files. Make sure to hold the Shift (Win) or Ctrl (Mac) key down when opening so that you can enter the master password. Ken
andygaunt Posted September 22, 2003 Posted September 22, 2003 Unless you set up the runtime with permanently prevent modification of database structure. Then you will have to open the original files, make your changes and recreate the runtime afterwards.
kenneth2k1 Posted September 22, 2003 Posted September 22, 2003 Yes, I forgot about permanently preventing modification of database structure.
